Today, Year 2 completed their Little Lifers Flat Stan First Aid training with Natalie.
The children learnt what to do in a medical emergency when someone is hurt, poorly or upset. They learnt how to carry out a ‘Primary Survey’ by following: Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing. 
In pairs, the Year 2 children put each other into the recovery position and used Flat Stan to practise giving CPR. The children also learnt how to treat burns, what to do if someone is choking and how to apply bandages.
We were so impressed with the children’s ability to carry out a Primary Survey and talk about what to do in a range of emergency situations!
